When the ‘Reef’ Showhome was sold it was relocated to Waipu, and many of the staff expressed their sadness at seeing it go. We had become quite attached to this stunning home and hoped it was going to be enjoyed by its new owners as much as we loved it.
This recently prompted us to take a trip to Waipu to see how it was settling into its new surroundings.
Pulling into the winding driveway, we were totally blown away by this property. The first words that come to mind is ‘Utopia’. New owner Kennedy, has worked extremely hard and is very passionate about making the most of his amazing property. What was once quite steep unusable land, has been sculptured and manicured to the magnificent property you see today. Turns out, he was equally passionate about the showhome as we were.
“Initially I was simply tagging along with a friend who was looking to build at Marsden City. We visited a number of building firms and when we came to Homeworld and saw the Reef Showhome, it was a case of love at first ‘site’. It was exactly what I wanted for my property at Waipu. Steve Trass mentioned it happened to be for sale, and within the hour he came straight out to inspect my site and it was sold on a cold August afternoon with a handshake! Talk about impulse buying! It came with everything inside, appliances, beds, furniture, pillows… the lot!”
“Steve was great to deal with and I was very impressed with the whole team. Dealing with them was a breeze. Supervisor Rob Bowers was great at communication and made everything hassle free. A few modifications needed to be made to the house along with lots of extra decking, which they organised without any issues. Then, halfway through the project, I decided I wanted an extra ‘sleepout’ adjacent to the house. Homeworld designed it to match the showhome so it looks like the perfect set. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Homeworld… in fact, I have recently bought a ½ acre property in Waipu and I’m currently in negotiations with Homeworld to build another home on it.”
