When Richard & and Donna decided to build on their Tutukaka property, the first thing they did was check out a new home their friends had recently built at ‘The Anchorage’. “The quality and finishing of their home was really good. We looked online at lots of building firms, but kept coming back to Homeworld each time.”
Once they had an idea of the type of floor plan they wanted, they called into Homeworld’s office to discuss the process and changes to the plan.
“As it was a coastal property, we wanted to maximize the site and leave as much flat site available for tents and parking. Hence our decision to build on the sloping part of the section which was also the challenging part to mow. The added bonus of this was the huge storage it created below the house. Ideal for firewood and dingys etc. The next challenge was modifying the plan to be suitable for a family member in a wheelchair. It had to have easy level entry access at the rear, wider hallways and a walk-in shower box. Homeworld managed to adapt the plan to suit all our requirements. Nothing was a problem. They listened carefully to what we wanted to achieve and made it happen. The whole team was excellent and we didn’t have to worry about anything from start to finish. We always recommend Homeworld to anyone looking to build.”
