Showhomes: Defined

The phrase Showhome, also referred to as showhouse or display home, pertains to a home that is built to showcase the handiwork of a specific home builder, to people who are looking to have their house built by said builder. Showhomes are built on the same property, owned and/or developed by the home builder. The showhome is usually constructed within the proximity of the home builder’s office to make it more convenient for them and their prospective clients alike to present a real-life sample of their work.

Showhomes by Homeworld

At Homeworld, we have showhomes in Whangarei, situated at our Display Village at Western Hills Drive. On that site, we have constructed showhomes for our Piha and Sandy Bay home designs. We also had one in Tutukaka Admiral Way, our Tutukaka showhome. Each of these showhomes is built based to the actual size that we have specified for our home design and build packages. These showhomes were built using top-quality materials from our very reliable suppliers and partners. When you visit each of these display homes, you would be able to see up-close and even examine the materials and brands that we utilise for its exterior and interiors.

The Piha, Sandy Bay, and Tutukaka are only a few of our many stellar home designs that vary in style and size. All of our showhomes are available for sale and change regularly based on this. The Piha showhome is a 69m2 property that has 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom that has a provision for laundry. Additionally, this home design, either has the traditional gable or the modern mono-pitch roof. The Piha is a compact yet modern house that can serve as a transportable home, a beach house, or even a farm cottage.

The Sandy Bay showhome is almost double the size of the Piha, which has a total area of 132.48m2. The Sandy Bay showhome has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which is an en-suite. It has a covered deck on one side – good for enjoying an outdoor meal. On its opposite side, it has a covered deck where your little ones can enjoy playing away from the suns blaze. It’s also an ideal space for your quiet time.

Of the three showhomes that we have, (now sold) our Tutukaka Showhome is the biggest, with a total area of 180.03m2. This stunning showhome, is built to enjoy the coastal lifestyle, has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one en-suite). The Tutukaka has an open plan living that conveniently leads to an outdoor entertaining area. It has a covered and open patio that lets you enjoy the beauty of outdoor life right outside your home, at any time.
